Sewer Camera Inspection
Accurate Sewer Camera Inspection in Kansas City, MO, and the Surrounding Areas
Sewer pipes face constant exposure to waste and bacteria, which release acids. Everything that goes down the drain also affects the sewer pipe’s interior. Soil, traffic, and groundwater affect the exterior side of the pipe. When your local area home’s sewer needs professional attention, turn to us at KC Trenchless for a thorough sewer camera inspection. We perform these inspections on all types and sizes of sewer lines, and we look forward to working with you and identifying the cause of your sewer pipe issues.
What Can Indicate Sewer Issues
When your sewer pipe develops a crack, clog, corrosion, or other damage, it provides some telltale signs:
Foul drain odors
Slow drains
Pooled water or a soggy area in the yard
Sewage odors in the yard or near drains
Gurgling or unusual drain and pipe sounds
Wastewater or sewage backup
What We Check
When we perform a sewer camera inspection, we check the condition of the pipe’s interior. The camera rotates 360 degrees and provides us with a full view of every surface inside the pipe. We look for clogs, including clogs of tree roots, grease, solid waste, and foreign objects. Our technicians also check for corrosion on the pipe. While maneuvering the camera, we check for cracks in the pipe and offsets between pipe segments.
What to Expect from Sewer Inspections
The sewer inspection process begins with attaching the submersible camera to a thin, flexible cable. We slowly feed the cable into the sewer through an existing access point. Our controller works like a joystick and allows us to see the whole pipe. We watch the progress on a handheld monitor, which captures the images and video. After the inspection, we may recommend cleaning, spot repairs, placement of a pipe liner, or another restoration method. If the pipe has collapsed, however, we recommend replacing it.
